MRS. MATHIAS MARTIN DIES SUDDENLY AT RICHARDSON:

Mrs. Luanna Martin, wife of former Commissioner Mathias Martin, died suddenly of paralysis at the Martin home in Richardson, last night. Several minutes prior to her death she was apparently in the best of health and spirits, and was playing with her little grand-daughter Ethel, daughter of Mrs. Lurana Martin, and her sudden death came unexpectedly and without warning. Mrs. Martin had been slightly afflicted with paralysis for several years.

Mrs. Martin was formerly Miss Luanna Gibson, and was one of the first pioneers of Moab and Grand county. After her marriage with ex-Commissioner Martin, she has resided at Richardson. She is survived by her husband and three children, Ed Taylor, Mrs. Laura Maxwell and Miss Minnie Martin.

Funeral services will be held at the family home at Richardson. Mr. Martin is an Odd Fellow of the Moab lodge.

Mrs. Martin was one of those pioneer women whom all honor and respect. She was one of those who have endured the hardships of pioneer life, in order that the way may be smoothed for those who live after. To the bereaved husband and family is extended the sympathy of their host of friends.

She is buried in the Martin Cemetery which probably was the Martin farm in Richardson.
